We are pleased to publish the third FWR newsletter (pdf) under IES editorialship. This issue features articles on a new, innovative Smart Water Grid, how sustainable drainage systems can be flexibly integrated into most projects, and possible solutions for addressing the water sector skills gap.

The articles explore how nature-based solutions can increase water resilience to deliver benefits for all of society, why sustainable drainage systems help communities and habitats whilst alleviating contamination, and the importance of enhancing educational initiatives to promote water-based careers.

To encourage engagement with these exciting outputs, we invite members and non-members alike to sign up to the newsletter. The next issue is due in November. We welcome proposed article contributions, which can be sent at any time to publications@the-ies.org.
