The time has come to reveal the winner of the 2019 summer photography competition. With over 100 entries to this year's competition, the judging panel were spoiled for choice when deciding the winner for the theme of Green. 

However, after all votes have been counted, the IES is happy to announce our winner. Congratulations to Roger Barrowcliffe for his image, Common frog in duckweed, our winner with almost a quarter of all the points allocated by the judges who has received 50 per cent off his membership for 2020.

There were so many great entries to the competition that we have selected four more of our favourite photos as highly commended. In order of appearance: Hanan Jafar, Hilary Snelling, Kyle Johns and Andrea Whitin who are all student members of the IES.
