We would like to congratulate CHES accredited members South West College and the universities of East Anglia (UEA), Reading and Brighton on their wins at the 2015 Green Gown Awards in Bristol.

Established in 2004, the Green Gown Awards recognise the exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges across the UK. With sustainability moving up the agenda, the Awards have become established as the most prestigious recognition of best practice within the further and higher education sector. The judging panel is made up of representatives from across the sector, including the Institution of Environmental Sciences.

South West College won the Best Newcomer (College) award, and UEA was announced as winner in the Built Environment category. The University of Brighton and University of Reading were both High Commended for their entries in the Built Environment and Continuous Improvement categories respectively.
