Carolyn Roberts elected SocEnv Chair

IES Director, Professor Carolyn Roberts has been elected as the new Chair of the Society for the Environment (SocEnv).

Carolyn has been heading up the SocEnv governance review for the past year. The review examines how the governance structure of SocEnv could be better suited towards delivering the organisation's goals. Her appointment comes at the same time that Alex Galloway CVO takes up his new role as SocEnv CEO. These two appointments signal an exciting new stage in the development of the Society.

Professor Roberts is Director of the Environmental Sustainability Knowledge Transfer Network (ESKTN), based at the University of Oxford. She has served on the IES Council since the 1990s, acting as Chair from 2006-2009.
