AGM 2025 results

The 52nd IES AGM was held on 15th April 2025. The event was once again held online to allow maximum engagement from members.

Chair's Review of the Year
In his first AGM as IES Chair, Bernard Devereux, reflected on the financial strength of the organisation and how the IES had risen to the challenges of a difficult external environment.

CEO's Reflections on 2024 & Plans for 2025
Adam Donnan, IES CEO, reflected on the the activities of the Institution in 2024. He thanked the IES staff team and over 400 members of the IES who volunteer in some capacity, for enabling the organisation to achieve a high number and quality of outputs. He outlined what members could expect to see in the coming year, including an updated website, most cross-community collaboration and the development of competency frameworks.

Treasurer's Update
Ian Byrne, IES Treasurer, gave a review of the 2023-24 accounts. He discussed how income and reserves have grown over the past 5 years and discussed the current uncertainty in the financial markets.

Elections
All resolutions were passed. Itunu Allison, Roisin Lindsay and Brigette Reid were elected to Council, and Bernard Devereux was re-elected for a second term. Elizabeth Mullings-Smith, Nicola Parker and Rebecca Jessup retired from Council.
